Spend most of my weeks in Marshall on business and curious if there are any decent courses around Marshall.

You might be better off driving over to Longview for golf, although their courses are nothing to write home about either.

Lakeside in Marshall, #2 9-hole course in the state. Might need a member though, check it out. In Longview, the best is Pinecrest, then Oakforest. Several other in Longview are OK but the better ones are in Tyler.

Oaklawn on Hwy 80 if you're just looking to knock it around.

Lakeside & Longview courses as mentioned before.

Cypress Valley between Marshall & Waskom is under new ownership and they are redoing the course. Will be very nice when they are finished.

Crooked Hollow in Greenwood, La. is pretty good. It's a Nicklaus course and about a 20 min. drive from Marshall.
