What are some of your favorite bars in the East Texas area?? I guess ARKLATEX.

how old are you posting that pick on every single thread, grow up.

Main reason I'm asking is because I haven't found an abundance of good bars in east Texas. I'm hoping yall could lead me in the right direction.

In Marshall we have a place called OS, and thats about it. I've heard there might one or two pretty good ones in Longview.

Longview bars suck unless you're a loser from the 'View who never left town or from a podunk place (like New Diana) and think coming to Longview = coming to the "Big City".

I've only been to 3 bars there...the Sports Page (commonly referred to as the "S-page", McCann Street, and The Reo.

The Reo is now closed. The "S-page" sucked in my opinion. People there go nuts over $5 pitchers of Naddy. McCann Street could be cool if you went w/ some friends.

Actually the Reo is now a Mexican cantina. Alot of the guys from where I work talk about going there and how wild it gets. Not sure they'd like a gringo too much.

The Sports Page = Roadhouse. Seriously. I refuse to go there. The crowd is 21-25 yr old males who go there looking to fight.

McCann Street is usually a high school reunion during holidays because that is where everyone starts their night.

Carlos's brother Gerald owns an upscale restaurant and bar downtown on Tyler Street called the Tyler Street Bistro (Carlos owns Carlitos). The bar is adjacent to the restaurant. That's were we go now because you generally don't get the redneck riff raff you'll find everywhere else.

My buddy frequents Leon's out on Eastman Road. I've been there a couple of times. It's ok. Large neck crowd.

May I suggest Streakers?

I've never frequented Streakers. I'll have to check out Tyler Street Bistro sometime though. You should come over to Marshall sometime and go to OS...its not bad.

You need to go to Streakers.

Went to McCann St. Friday night...it was a Pine Tree High School reunion.

You should have let me know you were in town ruddyduck. I didn't even make a trip to McCann Street over the holidays. I think next time we are all in town the Buffalo Wild Wings will be open. Surely a great place like B Dub's can't be ruined by the Longview crowd?

The only way it can possibly not turn into neck central is if they ban smoking.

BW3 will just turn into Sports Page II...speaking of which, drove past The SP going from my sister's house to my parent's on Christmas night and that place was PACKED

Hopefully BW3's won't have the stabbings that SP has.

SP should be shut down. Frankly, I'm surprised the TABC hasn't already done so with the number of under age drinkers, fights and general neckery that goes on there.

I went to a bar in downtown longview the other night that wasn't too bad, i think it was called Geralds. It was pretty low key.

The Sports Page isn't that bad, I don't think I've ever seen a fight there and I've been there at least a dozen times. There is some nice trim in there from time to time as well. What ever you do don't go to Graham Central Station, the amount of suckiness may overwhelm you!

I've never not seen a fight at Sports Page. However, you are quite a bit younger than me so I'll let you have that turf.
