How did y'all fare in regards to the Mt. Pleasant/Longview hail storms?

Tyler was fine, but Mt Pleasant got lit up all through the southern part of the city. They've now been invaded by the foreign roofer hordes and are attempting to fight them off.

I was camped about 600 yards from lady who got killed at Brushy Creek lake of the pines. Heard storm on north end of lake and did not sound that bad-- have been there when it sounded like frreight train coming across lake. Hail hit our trailer first, then picked it up a bit, then hailed about 5 minutes pretty bad. When it calmed down -- went out side and tree had fell on boat 20 foot away , one about 6 foot away from BILs camper. At daylight really saw damage, it was horrible. First res ponders had to cut trough gate to get in

I literally drove into town (Mt Pleasant) about 30 seconds after the hail stopped. It was crazy driving down the street with about 3-6 inches of ice on the road. It was hot that day, so there was a lot of steam from the ice melting on the hot road. kinda like the twilight zone.

The roof on our office was a total loss but our house missed it all. And Stive is right, roofers and hail dent repair people were here the next day like vultures!
