I am well pleased. I have been indulging in Freebirds burritos since about 1996 when I discovered them at College Station. More recently I frequent the one in Coppell. Now I will not have to drive 100 miles or more to get one.
It's hard to eat at Freebirds knowing how good it used to be.
Fall 2002 as a freshman living across from Northgate in the dorms, could get a monster with real beef and sour cream and guacamole for no extra charge.
I would have eaten at free birds more often in CS if the people working there didn't scare me so much. One time the guys earlobe was stretched so much, i thought it was going to get mixed in with my burrito
The article says it will be open in Jan. I'm starting to wonder if Freebirds is really coming to Tyler. It's not listed as an upcoming opening on the Freebirds website and I drove by the old Casa Ole building its supposedly moving into. I was at the building yesterday and looked in through a window. Nothing has been done at all to the inside or outside. IF it's really going in there, there's no chance it will be ready in Jan. Maybe late Spring or early Summer.
