Just wanted to let y'all in on two great Aggie owned businesses in Palestine. Both are great ideas for a short day trip in East Texas. The first is Oxbow Bakery and Antiques, owned by my brother, class of '98, and my mother. They offer a wide variety of homemade pies that are to die for!! They also make homemade chicken salad and homemade soups on select days. There is also a vendor mall full of antiques. Oxbow is located in "Old-Town" Palestine. Just a couple of blocks over in downtown, you will find Old Magnolia...also owned by a good Ag. They have a large antique vendor mall and have a large lunch menu with great sandwhiches and a coffee shop. Oxbow and Old Magnolia were recently mentioned in Texas Monthly magazine.
