I saw the movie last night in Dallas. I was quite entertained but I am not so sure the general public would be. I not only know the "characters" but many of the local "actors" that were interviewed in the movie.

Movie opens in Carthage this weekend. I hear it will be SRO.

Saw this last night and loved it. One of the funniest movies I have seen in a while.

As Bernie departed, and when Shirley McLean shut her electronic gate on him, he should have abandoned his vehicle, run to the gate, climbed it, and kept on running (never to return).

But NOOOOO.
Bernie liked her money (did he not).

Knew he could not cop a plea of "temporary insanity." No way !

Thus, life behind bars (well, perhaps paroled at age 67).

No poor Bernie. Jury did their job.

We just saw it and thought it was great. Northeners might enjoy poking fun of Texans.

Never heard of "Behind the Pine Curtain" until this movie.

How fitting for a place (and folks) Bop luv's.

I thought it was hilarious.

I would delete my post if I knew how; I have tried twice. Of course, if I didn't make stupid posts I wouldn't need to delete them.

The poor guy did murder. True. Bernie Tiede did pierce the shoulder region of a loved and loveable Carthage, Texas benefactress with a missile from, in hate and aforethought hurled, a .22 calibre weapon. The danger to society at large from this wanton killer is incalcuable; please, please protect us from the imminent danger posed by an unbarred Berne Tiede. Expectedly of the East Texas "criminal defense" community this unbridaled monster will not be set loose upon the community, but his assets from whatever source have been legally confiscated and reallocated to those learned and patriotic community leaders who recognized the potentialities of Bar Membership many years ago.
