I just moved up here for work this week. I am splitting time between Port Arthur and Marshall, but I am looking for some Ags in the area to get together with and talk about ol army (04).
If there is no reply to your inquiry, Bop suggests you contact the C/S Former Students Association for club officers names and numbers. Then make a phone call or two. That is if, by chance, their phones have not all been disconnected.
Just now seeing this thread. I don't check the board too often. Marshall doesn't have an "official club". I was asked to help start one, but work and wife getting pregnant got in the way.
However, there are quite a few Aggies in the area. We have Muster every year and several Aggie events over the year as well.
Big city vs small town A&M Club problems (or situations) ? Small town clubs ? Poor attendance unless you have a meal and good speaker, then it's hard to get folks to commit in advance. Big city A&M Clubs can schedule regular monthly or bi-monthly meetings with advanced programming without personal reservations. Buffet lunch, pay on your own works well. Good program is always the key.
