What interesting facts do you have for me about this town? Burger place? Morton Salt? Hauntings?

Once upon a time you could take a fantastic underground cavern tour of the massive salt mine.

There's a neat little Salt Museum in downtown Grand Saline (well worth a stop).

I'm from Grand Saline, and what Bop said just about covers it. They haven't done the mine tours for several years, except for guests of Morton employees on their annual family day.

There's just not a whole lot going on there anymore, although it was quite the happening place until about a decade ago. Is there anything specific you need info for, or are you just curious?

As someone who has no
Idea what's going on, why the angry faces for the Peanut Butter Festival?

Grand Saline has absolutely nothing to do with peanutbutter other than having some people open a peanutbutter shop a few years ago. We already have a Salt Festival. Our town is Grand Saline, not Grand Peanut.

My inlaws have some land in grand saline. I'm been going there for 6 years now and it hasnt changed much. They took me to Ms. B's on my very first trip. The restaurant had run out of BBQ sauce...

I do like the burger place in Mineloa, East Texas Burger Co. is the name I think.

That's about par for the course with Mr. B's. I only recommend the potato, that should say enough about a bbq joint. The rest of GS isn't any better, and we're talking about my home town. Unless you really like salt....or meth.

Wonder if someone bought land near Grand Saline and dug a water well would they hit salt water ?
