Someone told me about this place. They said the Hot Links were great.

Is it worth a road trip?

Can you compare them to Elgin Hot Links?

Please discuss.

No. Pittsburg hot links are a ball of grease with no seasoning. Order them with chile on top for taste. Not your German or Bohunk central Texas saugage. As coaches, we would go only when we needed our stystem "greased"--Definitely not Louie Mueller, elgin or Slovechek quality.

agreed. its a different kind of sausage, not like a brat or even close. Im actually not sure what you would compare it to come to think of it.

Pitts Hot Links is good food when you are passing through, but i wouldnt travel to eat there. Chili is outstanding if you like it to burn your insides all the way through.

dont expect anything close to healthy on the menu.

I like the hot links, almost a sweet breakfast tasting sausage, greasy as heck so be careful over open flame!! I was out in NE Texas a couple weeks ago and brought back 3 packs! Now the red links taste like regular old hotdogs to me.
