I'm relocating to Texarkana after the first of the year and am looking for advice on areas to live (will be buying a house). Can be on either Texas or Akrnasas side, but needs to be within 25 miles of Texarkana. School District will be important part in the decision on where to live. I've heard good things about the Pleasant Grove area . . . any thoughts or tips from anyone would be appreciated. Thanks!

Forget the AR side. That part of town is dying.

Pleasant Grove is a very good school district (if you don't mind your kids getting their asses kicked in football).

A good area to look for houses is the PG district in between Summerhill and Richmond RD.

A cousin of mine commutes from New Boston. It's only 20 minutes. I think land out there is fairly cheap, if you want to do the country thing.

moved to Texarkana from CS 4 months ago. Live on the Texas side!!! Cannot stress that enough. My wife and I live in a house in the historic district between College and New Boston Rd. It is a very nice area with a lot of freindly neighbors. Pleasant Grove is very nice too, a lot of newer homes
