Anyone have opinion of Stonegate or Graemont? Looking at possible lots and curious if anyone here live on either of these subdivisions?

My best friend's family lives in Stonegate and I have spent a lot of time over there. Its a great subdivision with all the hills and trees and large lots. I think they really like it. I think the only downside would be its not really close to too many restaurants/shops and I don't think it's TISD (which actually might be a positive depending how you look at it).

I'm willing to bet there are some minimum square footage requirements and maybe some material restrictions, though the homes in the ara are quite diverse in appearance. I would expect a fairly strict HOA as well.

Look at Cumberland Estates.

There are some new homes on new lots closer to the back of the subdivision near TX49 toll road.

Stonegate is very nice, whitehouse school district. Distance to restaurants isnt a problem with the Grande extension. Nicknamed Stonebroke. Graemont just hasnt really taken off, expensive lots and is right next door to Stonegate. Getting in and out of the subdivision would be fun, entrance is right on a hill...blind spots in both directions. Cumberland Estates is an older subdivision. I would look into Baker Plantation and Stonegate, or if you're really thinking big...Saddlecreek.

Comeby! made a number of good comments. Wouldn't add much to it. Greymont is starting to pick up but has been slow. I'm friends with the guy who now owns the remaining lots in Stonegate and is the controlling interest. Are you moving into the area from out of town?

Already moved to tyler and were looking into building a house in 2010. Looking at lots in the 0.6 to 1.5 acre range, that's why we were looking at either stonegate or graemont. I never really thought of the blind spots coming in and out of graement until comeby pointed it out. why dis stonegate referred to as stonebroke??
