I'm coming up to tyler this weekend, and wondering if anybody had any suggestions on where to play?
I was thinking about one of the 2 courses at peach tree, but anyone have any better ideas?

I have played both Hollytree and Willowbrook. I like Hollytree better because I think it is more challenging. I'm not real sure about fees because I know people that work at both places and can get on for free. I have heard Cascades is nice but never played out there. There is also a place out on 110 towards van but I have never played there but my dad has and he said it was pretty nice (if I remember correctly).

Forget Peach tree (just 9-holes now) and Oakhurst. They don't keep up their tees/greens ever.

The one on 110 is Garden Valley. The best public course around here. I highly recommend that one. Play it twice if you have two days. It was voted as the 6th best public course in Texas a few years back.

Well we played Oakhurst and it was pretty nice. greens were slow but other than that it was a fun, pretty course. I'm used to playing the flat courses around Houston, so not being completely flat was nice.

Some of my friends played peachtree and described it as "sh_tty". it was full 18 holes but the last 2 holes are now par 3s, making it like a par 68.
