I'm think about getting a Speach Therapy or a P.T.A. degree and need info on it. How long is the program, what prerec. stuff do I need, etc.

Speech Therapy is a Master's Program. The closest to Tyler is SFA in Nacogdoches. I would check with SFA for any pre-reqs you need and then I can see if we offer any. Most likely, they will want you to have some upper level speech courses (which we don't offer)

If you are looking into the Physical Therapy Asst. we offer a few pre-reqs for that program and then the actual classes for the certificate are at Kilgore. We have an agreement that we offer the core general education courses, and then you take the PTA courses at Kilgore college.

Since you've earned your degree from A&M (right? what was it in?) then you should be good on most of the pre-reqs. You may have to take A&P for the pta program and like I said some more speech courses depending on what SFA advises.
