Just read about a testy town hall meeting with the Mayor of Harlingen.

I think we need more geographical education about the "Valley."

Probably starting with the fact that it is a river delta!

Harlingen's study after Dolly in 2008 showed a need for $84 million in drainage projects....so really $120 million will be spent. lol

Was listening to an interview on KURV lat week with someone (don't recall his name) who is working on drainage issues. He said that part of the problem with drainage down here is that there is so little elevation change. He said it was 6 feet in 60 miles so when you have a major rain event, the systems simply can't move the water fast enough with that kind of elevation change. Take it for what its worth.
