Wow, what a thunderstorm here in Mission tonight! Haven't seen this much lightning since I can't remember when here in the Valley.

Wow, that is a lot of rain. As mentioned this year has been an odd year for the RGV when compared to the last 10-15.

This year has been much more like the first few years I remember spending in the RGV; Cool moist winter followed by a dank wet spring, and then a hot as hell summer with sporadic storms.

That is how I remember the valley in the 80's as well.
We always had enough moisture until about late June.
