For someone who's been out of town a bunch and out of the loop on things, just what in the heck is this whole story about? Did I miss some mass hysteria meeting?

This is the bullcrap that hit my Facebook page

Claim is that the Walmart is closed because of the Jade Helm operation, and the Tin Foil Hat Crowd thinks the Walmart is going to be used as a FEMA camp to round us all up. The video shows someone driving around what is supposed to be the Midland Walmart. They video a semi parked behind the Walmart with three humvees on it. This is supposed to be a proof that military equipment is being moved in.

I'm going to guess that I-20 is a lot like I-40 here. Semis go up and down it all the time with all sorts of military crap. And Walmarts allow semis to park on their lots all the time. So it's garbage.

In addition, the video also catches a view of a four to six story hotel across the street from the "Midland Walmart". Google maps show no such place.

Canyon, if it does become a FEMA camp I will let you know since my neighborhood is right across the street from this Wal-mart.

Maybe you can make a few extra bucks selling food and water to the detainees.

And can you confirm/deny that the Walmart in the video is/isn't the Midland Walmart?

If referring to the video from a cellphone circling the building to see hummers, that is not Midland's North side Wal-mart because there is no Hotel that close. Though the terrain is similar. Where the hotel is, you should see a Chick-fil-a and loop 250 overpass.

This clip is where I know for sure this video was not taken at the north-side closed Midland Wal-mart.
Midland has no windows, should be a garden center, and hotel in video should be a Chick-fil-A with 100 cars circling it 6 days a week.
