Has anyone been on it recently?

I no longer go that way, but someone I work with is wanting to know what the current conditions are on it to get to Lamesa.

Thank you in advance.

Absolutely horrible. They've put in a portable stop light and you have to wait for awhile. Then follow a pilot car over what is basically a gravel road. I'd go 385 through Seminole and cut across. Or shoot over to Big Spring and up to Lamesa.

Also, they randomly had 349 shut down just outside of Lamesa on Tuesday which required about a 13 mile detour.

If you don't mind a stretch or dirt road on your state highways, it's not bad. A lot of it is now 4 lane to Lamesa. Another alternative is to take I-20 to Stanton then 137 to Lamesa. That's gotta be quicker than going through Seminole.

Was there Wednesday. Had to wait on a escort at one point with only one lane open, then had to take a big detour just outside of Lamesa. Faster going to Stanton and take 137 to Lamesa.

Yikes, I heard it was a nightmare and I guess it still is.

Seems like all roads in and out of Midland are horrible. Including I-20.

Probably in a few months the news will read, "13 people died in road accidents, 5 murdered and 3 bridges were destroyed by trucks carrying oversized loads today ... which is up from yesterday's 8 vehicular deaths, 3 murders and 1 bridge collapse."
