Harvest Cafe (by Carter's Furniture) is starting to open on Wednesday evenings for Coffee, Pastries, and live music. The good here is great, coffee drinks are as good if not better than Starbucks. Locally owned and the owner is a very nice guy. I will be supporting this as often as I can (headed on a work trip tonight). I believe they open around 5. I do not think they serve any beer or wine but I am not sure.

The BEER GARDEN @ Garden View Nursery: they had their opening last weekend. This is in on business 20 (Hwy 80) leaving midland headed to the airport. Not too far outside of. Midland. The pics on FB look great. Beers on tap & Live Music. Open Thurs-Sat and maybe Sunday. I wonder if they have TVs for football?

Been to the beer garden yet?

Harvest Caffe has not updated their website. Are they doing the Wednesday evening thing? That would be worth checking out. When you say live music, is it coffehouse-type music, or more honky-tonk/dance club music?

That's what I would hope, and it seems obvious enough, but I've been sorely disappointed before.

I saw the flyer for Harvest A few weekends back- might be worth the phone call though-

I like Harvest, but their past evening ventures have been very unsuccessful. To be fair, that was several years ago.

Tried Harvest tonight! It wasn't busy so my friends and I piled on the comfy couches by the fire. The two layer angel food cake was great- opens at 5:30- 10. Live music starts at 7.

owner said they are not really advertising other than word of mouth- the at is for adults to have a relaxing place to come one night a week. He wants to offer something extra for the customers who frequent the place.

I hope people go and support this so that local owners see a value in special events like this that aren't offered everyday. I think people in the area desire some thing different and tend to complain about there being nothing to do here. More reason to force yourself to try these new things so that excuse is null & void.

Finally checked out Harvest Caffe last night. I got there at 7:00, just as the musicians were setting up. Fantastic venue for laid-back, acoustic music in a relaxing atmosphere. The coffee was terrific. It was not very busy - for a while I was the only patron, but people began filtering in. I really hope this catches on. I've been looking for a place to hear live music that wasn't in a smoke-filled bar with ear-splitting volume.

The Beer Garden is awesome! Lots of interesting brews on tap that will change with the seasons. Owner said tonight that they are converting a greenhouse for the winter months- with heaters! Excited for this new place. Go support. Did I mention that they serve beers in Boots. PROST, DAS BOOT!

Cork and Pig was really good. The pork ribs are great and so was the pig!
