Trying to make the tough decision to buy or continue renting this place. Any recommendations for an Aggie realtor in the area would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know any realtors in Odessa or Midland. All the Aggies I know are bankers, Petroleum Engineers or own oil companies.
You prefer Odessa over Midland? If you wanted to move to Midland I could help you out with some good realtors.
Personally, I wouldn't buy right now unless I was selling a property to buy another. Real estate prices are way too high. If not selling, I would wait it out, prices will go down when new construction catches up to population growth or drilling activity slows down and people start moving out.
People buying right now are going to lose a ton of their home value when one or both of these things happen. Just my 2 cents.

I am not a Realtor, but I run DR Horton Homes in Midland and Odessa and could be of some help.

Cope, we are actually considering DR Horton. Yes I know it's a horrible time to buy but paying $1900 a month for a 2 bedroom apartment is hard to stomach. We would prefer a 3-4 bedroom rental but they are difficult to come by and upwards of $3500 a month. It's doable but knowing you could pay less than that on a 10-15 year note is hard.
