Howdy y'all. My company is going to be sending me to work a pipeline job near Big Lake around July 14th until possibly September. From what my coworkers tell me housing is impossible there just like many of the other oilfield towns here in the eagle ford. Good luck. I don't think you are going to find anything in Big Lake. Man camps have been set up on the south side of town. San Angelo may be your best bet.

I'm currently staying in Big Lake and I have to tell you housing is hard to come by. And if you find a place, it will cost you around 800 per week. You should try Angelo or maybe Mertzon

Look around Tankersley as well, very pretty creeks back there. Off the main road a bit so might not be as crowded.

Good luck finding anything in Big Lake. San Angelo is definitely going to be your answer.
