I came back in town for the weekend for a funeral and was aghast at the water this weekend. my parents had been telling me it was bad, but it was pretty amazing to see everything fill up so quickly.

My folks are out at wall and the cotton field can turn into some tanks.

Thought i'd share some photos and video of what we saw out there as well as some of the cooler pics of Nasworthy filling back up. it went from <50% to having to open up the EQ over 3 days.

i figure EMC may like this in particular to see his stomping grounds covered in water.

Did it was Susan Peak Rd away? I know our house was on a high enough rise that when the neighbors got flooded we were still high and dry.

it was a bit that way. i could get to your old house by way of dirt road through cotton fields so it's not that far off from you.

everytime i came in town on the loop off of 765 i hit the loop and headed north, so i didn't see where you were at.

You know we were in the Y at the gins. White brick house with shop building off to the south of the house. Address was 7316 Susan Peak. Google shows it pretty good.

No I know where you were at. The pics of the boys were not over a mile from you as the tractor plows.

born and raised in angelo and was here for the rain. Nasworthy filled up from 50% to capacity in 16 hours. They had to open the dam to let the water flow down the middle concho so the dam wouldnt bust, luckily it went into lake Ivie (water supply). South concho flowed into twin buttes at crazy gallons/min and the south pool filled up quickly, allowing the water from the south pool to flow into the larger north pool. It's really impressive to see how much water (12 feet) was dumped into twin buttes in such a short amount of time.
