I grew up near Midland, but have lived in Houston for the past 25 years after graduating from A&M. I spent two weeks in Nov/Dec and another 2 weeks around Christmas/New Year while my Dad rehabbed at a Midland nursing home (he's home now.) However, this has really made me want to move back. I have BS in Geology, but since I graduated midst the 84-86 oil bust, I ended up in the environmental arena. My career has taken a tangential turn to environmental risk management but I've done pretty well $$ wise, so while I will need to work, I am okay taking a big step backwards salary-wise.

Any words of wisdom (or sarcasm)??
