Who has the best burgers and bbq in Abilene? It use to be Joe Allen's awhile back.

Burgers: Lucy's on Treadaway, Jeff's is good as well. Jo Jo's in potosi has good burgers and BBQ as well.
BBQ as I said earlier, Jo Jo's in potosi. I prefer Sharon Allen's over Joe Allen's otherwise.

Joe Allen's went to pot after him and Sharon split.
Heff's has a pretty good burger over by Betty Rose's.

Cattle Baron's Cafe on S. 1st has some good burgers. Wholly Cow on Judge Ely is good too.
Sharon's is probably the best BBQ in town now.
I like Betty Rose's over Sharons. And Betty Rose's fish fry on Fri/Sat nights is beats most catfish houses....

That's too bad about Joe Allen's, that and Bill Murry's had the best burgers in town
Joe Allen's service and quality went way down after Sharon left. Sharon Allen's, Tom Perini or Betty Rose's are all better BBQ

I will say that I ate at Joe Allen's today, and they have completely revamped the whole thing. Food was excellent, service was great, etc. I recommend going back and giving it another shot.

Well, since its official, I have just accepted the Chef Position st Bar 14.
We will be going after the best burger in Abilene and elseware. If you get the chance, check us out. We will be in test phases through the rest of the year and will have an abbreviated menu during that time. Going to be fun!

Yeah he's open, but who knows when? And who knows what degree of surly mood you're going to find him or his staff in? Good ribs, but not worth the trouble.
