And will be living in downtown Midland until I can find a place. Looks like the other thread disappeared but I'll be looking for ideas of things to do. Places to go etc. Looks like I just missed the young professionals meeting but am down for an impromptu happy hour if anyone is interested.

agree!! 2 great cocktails on Friday and good service...it a may be pricey but the city is just the same

I'm sure the Blue Door is a great place but I don't like the people that congregate there... Every time I go there I see the home town ******-bags. But maybe if it is peppered with a few Aggies I should give it another chance!

I just can't comprehend someone saying they don't like the blue door because of the people that go there as opposed to the trash that lines BWW, W&T, et. al.

If you are looking for a house to rent, call wadley duplexes. They manage several rental houses including the one next to me. Its just became available. Im sure its overpriced but housing is scarce around here.

I forgot to mention that Blue door is a good bar. Thursday happy hour when the old fashioned is on special is generally when I go.

Do NOT get the bacon old fashioned.

That is disappointing. I assumed bacon made everything better. Did you try the scotch soaked with bananas? I keep missing it.
