Hello All! I serve on the board of YPM. We are an organization that strives to contribute to our community through service and network young professional in the Midland Area. Our group age range is from 21-40.

We are having a Networking/ Membership Mixer on Thursday - Jan.24 at The Blue Door 5-7.

We are giving free drink tickets to paid members, members who pay their dues or Potential Members who fill out an Application on site. If you aren't sure if our group is right for you- just come and socialize. You can find us on FB too.

This group helped me get networked in the Permian Basin and I have made great friends from it too. We have monthly mixers that help to cure the lull that is West Texas.

I hope to see you there. We have several Ags in the group.

Also - YPM is forming teams for The Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake- in Feb. The cost is $35 for Members and $50 for non-members. We were needing 7 spots filled as of this morning. So if you are interested you can ask about it tomorrow at the Mixer or contact Shawn Rule srule@ypmidland.org

We also have information about organizations looking for Young Professional members to serve on Boards.

You can absolutely miss ASCE meetings. Just kidding - I've never attended one (though I should).

I will not be in town for this meeting, but I would like to get involved. I still have a few years left before 40.

QUESTION: when should one hear back on the applications filled out that night?

Her turn around is pretty quick. I know that Andrew ( who hosted the event) was supposed to deliver the apps to her on Monday. We have had a ton of new members and I know Karissa will get to them as soon as she can. She was also in the middle of moving the past week. If you have not heard from her by weeks end let me know.

We will be having a After 5 Networking event on the 20th (tenative) and our Membership Bash is March 1st at the DoubleTree. More info to come soon!
