Friend of mine in WInters reports that Ivy had collected 2900 acre feet of water as of yesterday.

Folks here in E. TN where I now live have no clue what drought is or following lake gain totals. When you live on the TN river and the associated lakes you don't realize not everyone is as blessed...

E.V. Spence up from 0.19 percent full to 0.43 and climbing. Up from 1810.07 to 1813.83 3 feet rise in two days. Still -84 feet from "full".



J.B. Thomas:
From 0.07% "full" on the 27th to 0.45% full this morning and rising. Up 2.5 feet.


O.H. Ivie:
Up From 11.72% full to....... TWENTY FIVE POINT TWO. Elevation AMSL From 1,504.16 on the 27th to 1518.91 today. A full 14 feet gain in 3 days.



That's a pretty damn dramatic rise.

Good news for West Texas. Wow that is dramatic.

the rains brought Ivie back up to levels from a little more than a year and a half ago.

Still a long ways away from fixing our problems with spence and thomas.

I'm not sure what the heck happened, but Spence is finally catching some of this rain.

I'm afraid Lake Thomas could have a hurricane sit directly over it spinning for 3 days and still not get close to being full. 3" just North of Snyder, TX for us. Very nice to see green again.

First thing people ask after every rain is if city is going to loosen water restrictions. I don't think they understand we live in a desert and are going to have to change our watering habits permanently. One good month doesn't offset 10 years of insufficient rain.

Well, the severity of the water restrictions may be lessened here shortly. I believe the CRMWD started pumping out of spence again...who knows.
