Well done! And shameless boosting of my own thread, photos taken from the Clovis/Portales area:

Eclipse photos at bottom of page 2, though you might enjoy page 1 as well.

Canyon,
I chose gaining altitude by going to a 5 story parking garage over finding scenery. I normally would find a windmill, tree, pump-jack, fence-line for a nice silhouette. Canyon, I love your photos for that reason.

I was just happy we were able to see anything with the cloud cover we had, which was ONLY in the West where the sun was eclipsing and setting.

The slot from the clouds to the horizon was only tall enough to see the full height of the sun. So we were lucky to see anything.

It looked like we were going to have cloud cover, so we opted for driving out from under it. About the time we got to Clovis, it looked like the clouds were reversing and we would get hosed. Finally decided to set up at Oasis SP and take our chances. We'd actually scouted a location west of Elida NM, on the edge of a small caprock. But we got off late and I didn't want to take the chance of driving further and seeing less.
