If the house is nice, you won't find a better time to sell it. Do you want to be a long distance landlord?
I have a renthouse on the corner of Seaboard and Garfield. 2500sf 4/2/2. Needs some updating and it is on Garfield. I'm 6 months into a 2 yr lease at $1700/month. I could get more, but I have a really good tennant and will probably sell the house to this guy on a owner finance eventually.
I'm also thinking of selling the property to an investor.
Not familiar with your neighborhood, but I would think you could get $1800 to 2200 easy.
I agree it is a very good time to sell, but the lack of rentals has me thinking I could make some extra money off of it for a while, and still sell later. I don't see the oilfield slowing down anytime soon, so I still think I could make some good money when I sell. Maybe I'm just being greedy, but with so few houses in midland, it is just something I'm considering.
