Always been fond of San Angelo - used to spend my summers there back in the 50's. My mom grew up there, and my brother and I used to spend our summers there at our Grandmother's house at 216 Bird St.
We even spent a few months at Ft Concho Elementary School in 1957, when our AF dad was sent to England and our family could not join him right away.
There are a dozen cities on the list - I've had the good fortune to spend quality time in five of them.
But I have to admit that "Destination" is the right term for San Angelo. You won't be going there unless you really want to - it is WELL off the beaten path.
