My son lives in the LBK and needs an oil leak fixed on his old beater Mercury Sable. Any recommendations for a good repair shop?

Doesn't have to be the cheapest, just someone trustworthy if possible. TIA

Son #2 was at Tech a few years ago.

I had a very good experience with Scott's
2506 34th St Lubbock, TX 79410

They do the repair / maintenance for the Lubbock Police.

I personally can vouch for Scott's. Scott himself is usually at the 34th and University location, and he is truly a very good guy.
There may not be time to do the job right, but there is always time to do the job over!!

Scott's is good, and so is M&M downtown (at about 13th Street and Avenue M). I've had good experiences at both. Didn't get runarounds or attempts to sell services I didn't need, and charges were reasonable and well explained.

I've only been here we like and use Hud's for repairs.
