The old school original location before it burned down years ago was the best. The rebuilt restaurant and the 'chain' locations just aren't the same as the original.

we are probably going to hit the one in midtown. some friends are meeting us there. the reviews on b4 u eat seemed mostly good.

Good Margaritas, Quesadillas, and beef fajita nachos.

Midtown is too crowded and there is not much parking.

Good food but the parking at the Woodway location where our work crowd hits sucks also. It is crammed in a strip center with and almost all the parking is coned off for the valet. When you leave you have to wait for a long time on a valet while your car sits there about 20 feet away. Pisses me off ever time we go.

I work near the one on Shepherd; his picture on the wall freaks me out. Food is so-so.

Great food & terrible parking. I have to use the valet every time that I go to the Woodway location. The parking lot was stripped for golf carts, not cars...

overpriced less than stellar food. will not ever go back.

if you're goin there to drink and eat nachos, not bad. Plus one of the waiters at the one on Shepard has a nose that is the oddest thing you've ever seen.

cool history with the owner's pops being a wrestler with some US fame. I've always loved the food and I'm a big Mexican food critic. It is a tad overpriced but you gotta pay for that primo midtown location somehow, which can get a bit noisy. All in all it gets 4 out of 5 stars from me.

We used to go to the original in the late 70's when remodeling houses in the heights. All I remember was the big drink glasses and not feeling uncomfortable covered in paint.

For some reason, we liked it.

The worst service I have ever had at any restaurant was at the midtown location. I will never go back.

The Arriba Salsa in stores is from their recipe.

I always like the fire roasted Arriba salsa.

The birthday thing was where they would put a sombrero on your head, put you in a chair, lean it way back, wrap a trash bag around your neck for a bib and then pour some horrible white wine crap down your throat while they counted in spanish for however long you could consume it.

the lunch specials are a good deal, but the dinner menu is a ripoff for what is essentially slightly above average mexican food.

they also put too much vinegar in their salsa.

they tripled my tip of $5 to $15 on my credit card.

I think the food is average. The margaritas aren't bad.

Went to the one off of Woodway a few Sunday ago with my wife and 3 kids. Final bill ended up at $75! I couldn't believe it. The food and service were below average. That was our last visit.

well, i'm going tonight. we'll see how it goes.

Food is over priced, and it was the loudest resturaunt I have ever been to(Midtown location). Margarita's were good but also very pricey. It could be just me but I have a hard time paying $16.00 for quesadillas. Most likely will not go back

My wife and I used to go to the one on Shepherd just north of Jax. The food was decent, it was close, and it was rarely packed - always a good option when a place like Chuys or Pappasitos would be packed and we wanted a 'rita...

About 6 months ago, we went to get a quick meal and had the worst service I've ever had. It was so unbelievably bad that we didn't leave any tip. We'll never go back.

just got home. had the grand gold margarita. it was 11 bucks. but damned if it wasn't worth every penny. i'm still feeling the effects of that thing. typing this post alone is requiring a formidable amount of concentration.
