Where's the best place to eat Mexican food in the Woodlands? My in-laws live up there and we always end up at Morcco's. Looking to try something different.

Chuy's and Cafe Adobe are the obvious choices. I also like Casa Elena although the atmosphere is less desirable.

Marcos - YUCK! Try Gualajaura or Los Cucos. Chuys is always packed out and I think Cafe Adobe is overpriced, but I love their queso!

Thanks for the info. gentlemen. Will give 1 or more of these places a try on my next visit up there. Don't know when that will be as it is 270 miles from D'Hanis,Tx. to the Woodlands. Only get up there 2-3 times a year.

Drive south of the Woodlands on 45 just past 1960 on the south bound side and go to Lupe Tortilla. It's better than any of the above, and it got 5* corn and flour tortillas in TX Monthly. I love Chuy's, but Lupe has the best beef fajitas and green enchiladas that I have ever had!

The Best place is a real Taqueria named Los Tres Amigos.

The entire place seats about 35 people, but the food is beyond question as to authenticity and quality. Prices are fair to good. 2 Enchiladas, Chile con queso and guacamole with rice, refried beans & drink for about $6.

If you're in there, say hi to Juan, the Owner. (I eat there about three days a week.)

From The Woodlands, take Woodlands Parkway over I-45. It will be on your left in the shopping center. It is technically in Oak Ridge North.

From the mall, exit 45 and take the exit for Robinson Road/Oak Ridge North to wrap around and over the bridge.
