Any recs for a car audio shop. I have a CarPlay adapter I need installed in my 2014 LR4. Prefer within city limits, west or southwest side.

Serious question, I just have a blown front passenger door factory speaker in my F-150. Not noticeable if playing Sarah McLachlan or Natalie Merchant, but an absolute nuisance when trying to listen to Street Military or Project Pat. Will some of these audio places handle something like that at a reasonable price, or is best bet to try to DIY?

I blew multiple speakers in my last F-150 and Houston Car Stereo did the replacement. They did a great job and I thought the price was fair. I went back to them to have a subwoofer put in my new F-150.
If you buy speakers through Crutchfield, they will typically include proper mounting brackets for speakers and wire harness w/ connector that plugs into OE connector. 30 min job if you're moderately handy.

Back when having a multi-disc CD changer under the seat or in the trunk with the detachable face on the controls was peak. Late-90's/early-00's.
My old Integra in the 90s used to bump. Two Fosgate 10s, Fosgate amp, Alpine CD detachable face head unit Alpine highs off an Alpine amp. Thanks, Mobile One!

Psh. Mobile One is for amateurs.
Pro move was always to go to your friend's cousin who worked at Mobile One to do the install on the side to save $50.
I had the exact same issue. Bought a replacement off amazon for $60 and did it myself. Just YouTube taking the door panel off to get to the speaker. I am not going to say it is easy, but it just taking off screws and a handful of panels that snap in. Making sure you don't break those panels that snap is the only time you have to be careful.
The speaker replacement itself is increbility easy. An extra set of hands is helpful when it comes to putting everything back together, so just get a friend, wife, child to hold the door at that point.

On another note, I saw that Jeep has or had McIntosh sound systems for certain trim levels. Do they have any aftermarket systems?

Ya I was one gen later. Tape deck with the headphone jack for the iPod etc. But subwoofers for white guys was in vogue for some reason lol

I think so. After market stereo, subs, and tinting..... funny to think back

Yes, they did tint. Had an Altima tinted there. No subs tho.
