There should be controls and reporting. That's accurate. Nobody outside the company she works for (and even then just a select few) should be privy to that information nor care.
And they do. This was an internal thing that should've never seen the light of day. The public didn't need to hear about this.

I was assuming the giver had access to free tickets through their job or relations with the stadium complex, sports authority, or some other organization. There should be controls on those tickets. Most public corporations have controls and tracking on who goes to their sports suite that "should" be universally be told to employees, documented they were told, and enforced. I'm also assuming the giver was a guy and perhaps having thoughts that guys often have about newly single attractive women.
Channel two should have controls on gifts received by employees, what should also be universally told to employees, documented they were told, and enforced.

The public hears about this because these people want followers so post all these events on social media for the public to see. The flip side of that is the public then also gets to scrutinize. And the comical opinion piece that is the houston chronicle ran with it....because they knew it would get reactions on social media
I can see how KPRC might have a strict policy on gift receipts given I'm sure lots of governments or businesses buy influence. The facts that local politicians were buried in the story is what gave me the eyeroll.

My wife was there once and Dominique was in there. Said she looked over and Dom had taken off her clothes to try on some stuff - no underwear at all, no bush.

It was probably some lonely chode with a sad ass local govt job that was hoping to get some tang from a news woman. Imagine being a toady of Low T Rodney or a beta lackey of Lina that never gets to sniff panties. Then you get access to kickbacks in the form of tickets because that's how govt works - the govt greases wheels for acts coming into town to make the economy better and in turn the event people reward the govt with tickets.
