Also excellent atmosphere at McDaniel's Tavern (and pretty good fish + chips). Great bar and a ton of TVs

Unrelated, we just tried Tailgators (below) across from Monty's and were pleasantly surprised. Need to try McDaniels.

No he didn't go back to any college. I don't think he has any ill feelings toward A&M even though he got the boot. The sip stuff is probably just marketing and was free, if i had to guess.

The guy owns 5 restaurants now if i'm not mistaken, 3 Tailgaters and 2 others in the area. I heard he bought Good Charlie's on 1488 but I could be wrong.
