My wife noticed some weird spots on the walls that looked like deformed caterpillars, I vacuumed them off the wall only to notice squiggly holes in the drywall and then they critters started flying out of the holes. Paint be damned i put ducktape over the holes and now need a termite guy.

Anyone have any recommendations? We have been in the house 12 years and I did notice the black tubes around the perimeter where they apply treatment. Can those be reused?

We had a tree cut down a few years ago but left the stump and I am wondering if that is the culprit.

All of my pest companies will come out and treat for free if I paid for initial treatment and now have termites. Might be worth a call to the original company that did the treatment.

When I had that same issue, I had a company come barrier treat with Termidor, or Taurus SC, and they also foamed the walls on the side where the termites were active. They ceased activity within a few days.

For mine, they had traveled up the wall and were eating the main ridge beam between floors 10' into the house. It freaked me out and I went scorched earth, but the fact is, they weren't really there all that long so the damage was done, but nothing that required anything further.

I've used LS Pest Control for years and I'm in Kingwood. They are really great and a great company to work with.

Usually have them out quarterly.

Depends on the type of termite if they treat for free or not. Most termite services offer that for subterranian termites which is usually what those treatments are for. If it is drywood termites, you are probably gonna be out $700 for local treatment or multiple $k for a full fumigation.

I recommend Coastal Fumigators for a full fumigation.
