Not surprised a progressive liberal's spawn would be a complete POS.

Shouldn't this incident be investigated by CPS also?

I can't believe the station I loved ever hired that broad.

If you have ever seen Miya Shay post photos of these kids online, you can tell instantly that something is wrong with them, at least the oldest. Completely dead behind the eyes.

What went Wong with little Wu?

10 inch knife at a private school according to the story. Scary. And big Wu opposed the school vouchers to possibly keep bad kids out of his kids private school.

I wish nothing but the worst for Gene Wu. If that kid doesn't reform and get his **** together, I hope he's a millstone around Gene's neck for the rest of his life.

**** Gene Wu and his **** of a wife. Awful people.

I look forward to seeing this story on the news (broadcast or web) on ABC13.....(hint.....it won't happen).

You know the thing about Gene's kid is he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'… until he bites ya,

So, eleven hundred men went into the water. 316 men come out, and Gene's kid took the rest.

Bad people or not, I hope they can get the older one some help. Taking a knife to school is an obvious plea for attention, and based on those pictures there's clearly something wrong.

I have a real problem with Asian people playing the "oppressed" card in this country, or race baiting in any way. They literally lead everyone in this country, not just in annal household income, but by just about every important metric. Their countries are very xenophobic in general, but even moreso in the immigration process. If I migrated to almost purely homogeneous China or South Korea and had several generations of children, they would NEVER be considered REAL citizens or "countrymen" over there by the natives. They would always be considered racially "impure". There hasn't been a predominantly white country nearly as xenophobic as the average Asian country since Nazi Germany.

Oh...Don't worry, everyone. It was just a hardened plastic knife. It wasn't hardened metal.

GTFO with that excuse. Read the article. The kid is a problem and on the way to being a psychopath, given what has been demonstrated.

Don't worry, everyone. It was just a 3D-printed gun. Not a real gun.

See how stupid that sounds?

you don't think that detail is at all relevant?

and yes, if I saw an article about some kid bringing a gun to school, and nowhere in the comments was it mentioned that it was a toy gun printed at home...I would bring that up as well.

Gene, get your kid some help. And perhaps you and your wife could be more present at home instead trying to climb the ladder while ensuring the destruction of everyone else.

of course "it counts" and the kid should get in trouble. Anyone with an ounce of reason can see the difference between someone bringing a real knife to school and a 3D printed knife from home.

Kids do stupid **** like this all the time. This kid could be a complete psycho...I have no idea, but it's disingenuous for that to be completely buried in the article so I mentioned it.

I'm betting it was like the knives we bought our kids to "help" with in the kitchen before they could use real knives. Something like this: https://a.co/d/0dOQSmi2
Regardless of what type, or where it came from, every kid these days should know that bringing anything knife like to school is a bad idea.

One of the 9/11 hijackers reportedly slashed the throat of a flight attendant with a plastic knife he had hidden in his belt.

Plastic knives can be an actual weapon.

Looking at that kid, I feel sorry for him. That stare does not look healthy. I wonder if it's possible that he is on some sort of spectrum. If that kid has all of his mental faculties, he looks like someone who needs serious help.

Although it's hard to imagine an autistic kid flipping off the news cameras. My $$$ would be on parents who were too focused on themselves to be there for their children.

Didn't some kid get suspended for eating his bread in to the shape of a gun several years back?

On March 6, Wu's son reportedly displayed an approximately 10-inch knife to classmates after school hours. The knife was later described as hard plastic with a pointed tip and serrated edge not a typical plastic eating utensil and may have been purchased or produced using a 3D printer, according to reports.

It was a 10-inch serrated knife. Doesn't sound harmless to me.

Would make Crocodile Dundee proud.

inmates with a toothbrush and few minutes can turn a toothbrush into a shank.

But yeah, plastic knife are harmless.

To be fair, her older son comes across as more normal mannered in posts made in the last 1-2 years. It's not a cold death stare in all of them. I can't stand the kid's parents and what they stand for, but I am pulling for him. I could imagine he may have been heavily parented by ipad and nanny growing up.

I read the article and it seems like an awfully detailed profile of an elementary school student. Might take it with a little grain of salt.

If it is a 3D printed gun that can't fire a projectile and hurt/kill someone, then there is a distinction. You saying that there isn't is what sounds stupid. A pen or a pencil could be used as a weapon. There is a difference between a 10-inch steel knife and a 10-inch 3D printed knife with crappy PLA.

I read the article and have never heard of The Dallas Express, but it seems like their reporting may not be totally unbiased.

Then, apparently, the Texas LEOs are spreading rumors.

Editor's note the following account was sourced from senior Texas law enforcement officials speaking "on background" who are familiar with the matter. Because the subject of the story is a juvenile, The Dallas Express has chosen not to include the child's name, age, or the name of the school he attends in this report. Some details described by law enforcement sources could not be independently verified by The Dallas Express.

That's pretty vague sourcing from a website poster named "J Galt."

It's so sensitive that the author doesn't even name himself/herself.

I'm curious how a disciplinary incident at a private school ends up in the hands of the Texas Department of Public Safety, along with a detailed psychological profile of an elementary student.

There are a few gaps there.

I have pretty strongly negative views of Miyah and Wu, with good reason, but as I said, I'll take the anonymous article with a grain of salt.

It's a trash right-wing site and all the F16 right wingers are gleefully piling on an elementary school kid getting in trouble for bringing a plastic knife to school.

You know the claims are questionable when the F16 mods delete a thread about it.
