I've been a part of a company rebrand and this is pretty on the nose. Congrats to the marketing/ad agency that fleeced the Titans out of likely $5MM+ for this gem!

That logo is from a item listed for sale on fanatics. That is the patch version and it looks like an image was taken of the patch off center. I would think the official graphic will be a properly centered roundel. If you want you OCD to be tortured some more, go look at the Chicago Bears wishbone C. Its not symmetric

I always hated the Oilers colors. Columbia blue is just a pansy ass color. The Titans can keep that part of the Oilers legacy, but there's no way they should be able to keep the name & oil derrick. The Adams family are a bunch of spiteful *******s.

Thats not entirely true. For all merchandise sold outside of a team's store, the profit after the manufacturer and store gets its cut is sent to the NFL where it is evenly divided amongst the 32 franchises. So for every dollar you spend to buy Oilers merch probably results in $0.02 going to the Adams family. But an equal $0.02 goes to the McNair family as well.

I'll also add that Paul Tagliabue can suck a fat one in his grave. The NFL screwed Houston, too, at that time.

Look, yeah I'm still bitter. I loved the Oilers even during the 2-14 seasons. If one just says "let it go" then they didn't experience the highs, lows, and betrayal in real time. And if the comment about that includes "boomers," then it's fair to assume whoever says and agrees with that wasn't there in the 70's through mid 90's. Perhaps they shouldn't comment...

the nfl didn't just let cleveland keep the browns. the NFL didn't make Modell leave it behind, it was part of a settlement between Browns and city of Cleveland.

the browns wanted to leave several years before their stadium lease was over, hence the lawsuit. the oilers had planned to stay until the lease ended. it was only when no one showed up the second last year that they negotiated a deal to let oilers leave a year early. county didn't have the leverage that city of cleveland had,

the nfl didn't have the power to just take adam's trademarks.
