My parents passed recently so I'm in the situation of determining what do do with all their crap. It's just too much for me to take on on my own.

It seems like estate sale companies (at least in Houston) are lots of mom and pops. Reviews are a crapshoot because a lot of sale-attendees get mixed in. Virtually no company is widely praised.

Anybody have experience/recommendations (or thoughts on alternatives)?

We used Bohemian Rhapsody II out of Wharton to handle an estate sale for us a few years ago before we sold my parents house. They came highly recommended to us, and did a really nice job overall. They will handle places all over the Houston area, and they have an Antique / Resale Shop in Wharton.

I understand what you're going through. It's a difficult situation.

YL Estate sales in Beaumont are absolutely top notch. Best estate sales I have been to by far. Not sure if they go to Houston, but they would be worth looking up. Every old money house in Beaumont uses them.
