Nobody pays attention, and nothing will come of it. I know multiple small/medium size business owners in this city (that are involved w/ the local government) and it's not at all surprising to hear their stories. Absurdly corrupt, with a few good people holding out.

doesn't sound like it.

Quote:

Prosecutors under Attorney General Ken Paxton filed motions Wednesday to dismiss Aaron Dunn and Wallis Nader's respective charges of misuse of official information, tampering with records, their lawyers confirmed.
Quote:

Former district attorney Kim Ogg partially handed the prosecution into the three staffers, whose handling of a COVID-19 contract garnered political scrutiny, to Paxton's prosecutors last April. Ogg, at the time, argued Teare could not be trusted with the cases, but she allowed Teare to keep some control come January by not recusing her office outright.

Teare moved to recuse his office after taking office, citing "intense political and media scrutiny" over the contract investigation and ensuing indictments against the three staffers.
