Driving to Coles crossing now and family just messaged us warning us before we make the drive. Radar band looked skinny.

Nasty rotation tracking just south of the woodlands.

Looks like colony ridge is getting hammered right now. Sad!

Tornado Warning issued December 28 at 12:58PM CST until December 28 at 1:30PM CST by NWS Houston/Galveston TX
At 1258 PM CST, a confirmed tornado was located near Liverpool, or near Alvin, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This tornado will be near... Southwestern League City, southern Friendswood, Alvin, Santa Fe, and Hillcrest around 105 PM CST.
Instructions
To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

Looks like it's headed straight towards the NWS Radar from what Herzog is saying. Praying for everyone in the path!

Parents in San Leon move to lower level of home. Said it is pretty violent weather. Cant make calls, only texts and 75 yo olds dont text too well.

Heard there was a mile wide debris field in the Alvin and Liverpool area.

This is a big ugly rotation east of the League City radar from that same storm cell.

Thanks. We made it through okay, things eventually settled down. Chilly morning to start today and everything is still wet, but today and tomorrow should wind up being gorgeous days.
