Lots of self-imposed penance being paid by the Gen X and younger employees who work for oil and chemical companies, too. More of them drive Teslas than I would expect.
I didn't know San Antonio was so bad. Didn't notice the few times I visited there on vacation.schmellba99 said:

1. San Antonio

5b. Los Angeles (probably only this low since I've spent a very small amoutn of time there)
6. NOLA (I just expect ****ty driving because ****ty roads)
7. Kansas City
This is a pretty solid list, I would say in terms of quantity, the yellow lights and solid white line leading to or from a freeway are tied for tops.Ciboag96 said:
What's ignored more:
- red lights on freeway entrance ramps
- yield signs on feeders
- any solid white line leading up to or from a freeway exit or on ramp
- any traffic light turning yellow anywhere
- stop for pedestrians crossing signs
You forgot to add the sign that says "no right turn from this lane on red"Ciboag96 said:

I never really see Teslas doing 10 under like that, but you probably will see weird braking from the autopilot/full self driving from people that use that. The default for FSD/Autopilot is to use the speed limit, but the driver can override it to go faster. I think the max is setting at 85 or 90mph.

All of the SW quadrant of 99 has developed into these neighborhoods. Yes, Houston drivers are awful, be careful out there everyone. My wife and I have both been hit by uninsured motorists in the last 18 months,TheWoodlandsTxAg said:

It was unbelievably scary.
This might be self-selection/selection bias, but the Houston area has some of if not the worst drivers in the country.

According to the stats
- Albuquerque, New Mexico, tops the list of cities with the worst drivers, followed by Memphis, Tennessee; Detroit, Michigan; Tucson, Arizona; and Kansas City, Missouri.

I love Tesla drivers....
On the way to take my kids to daycare this morning I was at a red light in the left lane to turn left. Small side street light with two lanes. Tesla pulls up behind me in the middle of both lanes, so blocking everyone who was trying to turn right, which is a lot of people at this intersection. Then, when the light turns green, not a protected arrow, the Tesla honks at me (I can't go yet because cars coming the opposite direction are going straight).
After dropping the kids off and on the way back home, I'm going north on Shepherd in the far left lane (where it's 4 lanes). Tesla driver turns right from a side street into the second lane from the right, causing two cars to slam on their brakes. Then at the next block decides to turn left from their lane causing me to slam on my brakes...should have just t-boned him....

Wait? Bougie is an Indian term? I thought it was French.
Put Austin's crazier roads here though, and I bet Houston is worse. We have got to have the most simple and easy system of roadways here than any other place I have been in the country. Half of Houston wouldn't survive a week having to drive in and around the DC area.AJ02 said:

I drove around half of the DC beltway a few months back and holy cow was that a crazy road. Miss an exit here? No biggie, just mosy on down another 3/4 mile and make a U-turn. Miss an exit in DC or a surrounding burb? Just kill yourself.cajunaggie08 said:I drove around half of the DC beltway a few months back and holy cow was that a crazy road. JK, but that's kind of how it felt having to drive around that city back in the days of Mapquest and Yahoo Maps printouts.
100% this. People in this town will do anything but go to the next exit and come back around.htxag09 said:You must not drive here much......William Foster said:Miss an exit here? Houston drivers don't just miss exits. They'll throw that ***** in reverse on I10 before missing an exit and having to go another mile and U-Turn.
