Walking Stick, some of the dumbest owners. They bought a celler that had 1 brite for each fermenter. No one does that. And the distance was really far to run beerline to serve off the brites.

It's not like the old days when people would meet up on Westheimer to show off cars, than caravan off to some out of the way industrial park to drag race on a quiet straight away, away from the regular traffic and residential neighborhoods.

These idiots like to sit and rev engines going nowhere, and do burnouts in the parking lot or in the street. Given that they aren't worried about being up on weekday mornings and have money for car mods, I'd guess there might be some commerce taking place as well.

Went there once....hated it.

Wife and I liked that bar. Chill place that was never too crowded, loud, or pretentious. Went there a few times during the COVID shutdown "waiting for to go food orders"

Yeah they seemed to be having an identity crisis. They rebranded it to the bourbon place then changed it back to barking pig.. I only went a handful of times, wonder what could go in there that would do well.

Looks like Pimlico (Kevin McElroy) is taking over the location, according to a sleuth on r/houstonfood.

8 years is probably a pretty good run, especially for that location. It was at least 2 other bars before that I know of, and possibly more.

I remember when it was that tequila/taco place, Gran Malo? then it was an Asian restaurant for a while before becoming the Pig. The food was always good, and they had a pretty good steak night, but like others said, it just never made it to our regular rotation.

So back to the OP, is kings bierhaus reopening or no?

I'm a member at the heights lodge and they just sent an email stating they were closing and offered the lodge their picnic tables.

I hate that concept too. Not as bad as my dad does, but I just don't get it. In their mind I'm sure it means quicker food service and less servers.

They aren't taking your order, but they still want a full service tip.

Why not just go full QR code on table, order and pay on your phone model?

I don't post at all but feel the need to take the opportunity to raise a question I've had for some time. What's the deal with the Discount Tire air check line? I'll be heading home from TSA and there is a line that wraps around the building into TC Jester. It has to be line 50+ cars sometimes. Are they really waiting 20 minutes to get air pressure checked. Only rational would be Boomtown Babes type setup checking your tire pressure.

They're only at Discount because a light on their dash told them their tire pressure is low. Without that, they wouldn't even be there. It's not like they checked it themselves.
