My soon-to-be 8 y/o wants to go to an arcade. Incredible Pizza in Conroe is our go-to but curious if there are any cool spots around Houston I could check out.

Took my son and his friend to Speedy's not long ago. They loved it.
Looks like Mr. Pixels Classic Arcade at Jones near West Rd closed. One of my son's friends had a bday party there and they had a blast.

Last time we hit speedys I got one of the F1 karts and smoked all the kids
Nothin like watching little kids faces as I PIT maneuver them into a spin on the back hairpin
My son has learned the ways on the same track I grew up on as a kid. The arcade still has the same games that were new when we went to parties there (along with new modern ones)
It's a right of passsge getting a couple black fingernails playing old school air hockey at speedys

Speedys is great. There's a very similar track/arcade on 249 near 45 called Go-Kart Raceway that might be a little closer/cheaper and the track has an overpass which is cool for kids. Reminds me of the one off 45 that was near Supertrack back in the day.
But for pure arcade go to Cidercade where you can play all day for like $12. Some games will be harder to get on as people don't run out of quarters & leave. Didn't have a problem dominating Super Off Road though.

17 year old kids and some friends would we get looked at weird?
We've done K1 Speed before but dang that place is spendy.

I haven't been to Speedys since some of our Tine Board shenanigans at the original St A location.

40 years ago parent's didn't want their kids going to Speedy's for fear they'd take drugs or get kidnapped by Dean Corll.
