What the ever living f***? Harris County hired a gd pervert to be the authority on what is racially fair. This queen is nothing more than a grifter who found a gubmint job and will use it to promote xerself.

Absolutely confusing and absurd how we got to a place where a pervert commie is any sort of leader in local government.

In sTrapped, seven strangers come to the theatre expecting to see Award-Winning playwright Bryan-Keyth Wilson's new play about gun violence, but they are told by the stage manager the performance is canceled. Tempers flare, and a mysterious, omnipresent voice begins to calm the audience down and interrogate the seven strangers who are upset. Trauma is uncovered as we learn about the seven strangers and deeper conversations on sexuality, religion, and colonization come to the surface.
Show Content Guide

Our goal is to create theater that will benefit the entire community. In order for viewers to study all warnings connected to each production, we have developed a content guide.

This is a live document, therefore even if we normally do not have authorization to alter the intellectual property as licensed by rights-holders, we will refine the content in accordance with the director's vision and particular preferences.

If this were a film, it would be rated R

Conversations of Child Abuse: child slavery, rape, sexual abuse

Strong language: [edited so I don't catch a ban]

Arelia Johnson is a woman who knows and understands how pain promotes promise. At a young age, Arelia knew and understood that there was something, indescribable, pushing her to live, think, and breathe as a unique creature. Growing up in one of Houston's most economically challenged neighborhoods, Arelia quickly learned that every action results in consequences. She watched as family members and friends faced addiction, jail time, and sometimes death. Prior to graduating from high school, Ms. Johnson was awarded a full scholarship to a historically black university, but found herself married and pregnant before she turned twenty. She dropped out of college, got a divorce, and her life began spiraling out of control. In 2004, a year after the death of her great-grandmother, she decided to enroll at Texas Southern University. Not only did Arelia find her passion, she began to walk into her promise. In 2005, while a member of the Texas Southern University debate team, she won a major international title and started The B.L.O.OM. Foundation, Incorporated. The next year, she began competing as a slam poet in Houston, and was titled the Houston Grand Slam Champion. She released her first album in 2011, renamed The B.LO.O.M Foundation, The OWNED Project in 2013, self-published her first book, and is currently a high school English teacher. Her research interests are gender performance, African American female sexuality, queer theory, the creation of self-identity in relation to sex, and the social construction of beauty.

Just woke up one day and "found herself' married and pregnant, huh?

Also, I wonder if it happened in that order…

According to her Linkedin, she had the job title of "Training Specialist" with the county until summer 2022. That is a job paying $41.6K/year.

Landing a 200k C-level job less than two years after being a 40k training specialist is quite impressive

It just take her networking and letting it be known she will play ball with the budget by ensuring the money is funneled where it needs to go. She gets paid, gets a massive expense account to run up tabs at clubs and restaurants, and everyone else get their cut too while pushing racism and further reducing "the culture" to rubble.

Equity does not have the same goal as equality. Equity comes straight from CRT, and is racist in nature and assumes that minorities can't achieve things on their own without being handed things and installed advantages.

Not all equity is bad….I mean some forms of equity are completely understandable. For example, you aren't going to ask a handicap, wheelchair bound employee to walk 3 flights of stairs but say it's ok because all able bodied employees have to do it so they're being treated equally.

Issue is liberals have taken that and increased it exponentially. Basically just doing what politicians do.

Just spreading that equity around equitably!

Communism is great! Where else can a bus driver become President and starve his entire country into fleeing to the United States!

I've dealt with DEI hires in my old workplace, ironically they were on the DEIJ (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice) committee and honestly, it felt like the people who were on those committees wouldn't even have job in the place I worked at if not for DEI.

I'm not saying DEI is a bad thing, but forced DEI doesn't really bring the best to the workplace.

Workplaces absolutely should be more diverse, but it feels like a lot of companies and corporations are introducing these DEI initiatives to meet numbers more so than doing real work to make differences in the communities and populations they serve.

I noticed many of the DEI hires at the job were LGBTQ (men and women). None that I remember were straight (Black) males.
