This place used to be sort of entertaining.

Correct all the shootings on Wash Ave seems to have driven the hoodlums to 19-20th streets. Haha. I will say that area in Shady Acres will always be a bit of chaotic dumpster fire.. massive bars with massive patios, nor real sidewalks or proper street lighting, janky parking in streets.. I am more surprised more people dont get run over there by cars. I live closeby and avoid that area like the plague on weekends now.

I would think that body that floated from Shady Acres to the ship channel would've been the first clue.

That was a 2 hit fight. Dude hit VY, VY hit the floor...

Was talking with someone with direct knowledge about this the other day who said it originally started because VY was acting belligerent toward some women and their bfs stepped in and it escalated from there. Interesting to see the articles are saying the bar owner said it was about race and not the other way around.

Thank you, no matter how I tried, I could not turn that sentence over in my head. I was looking for the bar's name to be Club Cycle or information about a cycling club or someone speeding.

Next time OP, just write "20th street getting ghetto"

I just googled Vince Young net worth.. it's 400k according to the interweb. 1.5 million on another site. Anyway, I'm not sure a vaguely well-to-do retired QB getting hit by a some punk dude isn't necessarily on the ghetto radar IMO

However, I was at Providence during the world series games many moons ago and a kid came walking in and passed out with a gunshot wound.. that's pretty hood. The kid who ended up floating down the bayou.. also not great.
