Anyone have any particular Houston-area Ford dealerships / individuals recommended for a new F-150? Any to definitely avoid? Thanks!

Cook Ford in Texas City consistently has the best prices. Ask for Lauren.

Cavender Ford in Columbus did me right a few months ago. They bought out Tommy Vaughn dealerships in the area a few years ago.

Heard good things about 1Ags hookup but I went with Jorge at Tomball Ford and was pleased with the price and process.

There was a time they were a decent option. With advancements in tech and reliance on plastics and electronics taking over the industry, reliability and robust construction are a thing of the past. I have 6 family members with F150's 2019 or newer. They all have problems. My FIL's 2019 Platinum went in the shop 3 times in 2 years. So he upgraded to a 2022 King Ranch… it's been in the shop 3 times too.

Bought twice from him. Second time wasn't good at all.

I bought my f150 from Autonation on 45 south. They are the typical PITA car dealership that tries every trick in the book to get you to spend more money. You have to haggle and waste a day sweating them out over the price but they gave me a way better deal than the "hookup" lots of folks on here use and better than any of the small town dealers around would give me. I hate car dealerships and despise the entire business model but being that I might car shop twice in a decade, so I'll play the game to get a better deal. If you can tolerate a lot of wasted time doing the car dealer show I recommend checking some of the bigger places that have high volume and you might be surprised.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to try and look for anything out of place but must admit won't really know what I'm looking for.

Wasn't really Jorge but the finance guy. There was some money that was to come to me on a trade. Didn't get it, didn't get it and still didn't get it. Took around a month and I had to get the GM involved. Wasn't a satisfactory experience so I went elsewhere the next time.

Has not been since 2020 but Gullo Ford in Conroe was phenomenal with me. I had looked at Planet and Tomball Ford too and Gullo came out way out on top.

I've got my last 4 vehicles from Gullo, been pretty pleased.
