The restaurant scene in Rose-Rich was sparse. That BBQ joint on Avenue I - can't remember the name - served chopped shoulder clod sandwiches. The lady behind the counter had a very limited vocabulary...."pickles and onions?"
Also a dirty 'berg resident. Haven't tried the Tejas Grill you mentioned - will have to give it a shotmalenurse said:
Schulze's is good BBQ. But, if I'm going to the 'burg. I'm going to Witt.
FWIW, I grew up in Rosenberg. I'm pretty sure I've eaten at just about every place that is and was ever there.

Ok Fulshear peeps, in the 80's, I think, there was a family style restaurant on 1093 Just before Syms.
Anyone remember that?

When they took my beloved Dekker's away - I knew it was the beginning of the end for Fulshear. Now Dozier's. Pouring one out for both establishments today
Now that's the kind of stories the Houston board needs more of.lb sand said:
My dad and I saw Bum Phillips there eating a bbq sandwich in the early 80's.
We were just there to pick up deer meat my dad was having processed, but we went ahead and got a sandwich too.
I don't know him, I don't think, but I guess we have enough mutual "Friends" for it to show up on my feed. 99 shares at present. I guess the drawing in the post is of Ed Dozier?Ducks4brkfast said:

I like Anthonie's a lot. Great patio; good wine list. Nice place to eat. It's worth the drive.OnlyForNow said:

Richmond is South Katy. Fulshear is West Katy.HtownWilly12 said:
Was a never a fan of their deer processing which is a shame since it was 5 min away growing up. They need to just change the name from Fulshear to South Katy and get it over with. Town is too different.

Nolan's Ice house
Swinging door
big adobe looking Mexican place over in that area
Stetson hall
Place called Vasbinders was a real joint.
Also another joint over by the river at 90A where the law would always be going out there
Bum had a house off Hwy 6 out in Mo City, near where they built out Lake Olympia, but at that time it was still 2 lane black top. Anyway, my in-laws built a place off Oilfield road near there in the early 80s and saw Bum all the time at local spots.BohunkAg said:Now that's the kind of stories the Houston board needs more of.lb sand said:
