How long do you want to ignore this user?
Our first will be here in April so I'm on the hunt for a Pediatrician. I was looking at Bluefish pediatrics, but after talking to them it sounds like they're still all in on COVID vaccines for young children and that's a hard no from me. Does anyone have a recommendation of someone less .... insane?

My kids have gone to Bluefish since born (elementary now) and Dr Torn asked if we wanted them vaxed, we said no and that's about it. I asked her opinion and she said she sees more value than risk in it, but that was it with no pressure.

Full disclosure: I'm middle of the road on covid stuff so not hyper sensitive nor a snowflake.

Only one Dr there pierces ears btw

X2 for Bluefish. We see Dr Lusk primarily, and Dr Hall too. They are both Ags and are amazing with our kids. I cant recall ever getting a vaccine push from either of them.

Look up Abel Paredes, he was main Dr. for all 4 of ours. I think it's called Great Kids Pediatrics. In Memorial City Prof. Building.

Congrats on your new addition!

We also go to Bluefish (Heights) but found it about the same, they'll ask, you say no… no pressure.

YMMV but we did have a very sick 5 month old in respiratory distress and they called the Memorial Hermann ER and told them we were on our way, and when we showed up, there was no waiting in the waiting room, they took us straight back to be assessed/admitted.They are under that umbrella so good continuum of care.

We also use Bluefish … agree with everything here. The doctors we've interacted with over the years have all seemed very reasonable. I'd recommend them to anyone in the area.

Our child was born during the height of the Covid hysteria and this guy was anything but a Covidiot. He said he wouldn't worry about Covid in infants but properly advised us to watch out for RSV, which was spreading like wildfire in summer of 21. Our girl got RSV when she was about 6 months old...ironically, she handled it like a normal daycare bug...but it kicked daddy's ass bad for almost a week.

But yeah, he definitely wasn't pushing Covid vax. Even mocked the masks, but the Memorial System was staunchly requiring them.

EDIT: Sorry, misread to think you were thinking about ditching Bluefish in favor of Memorial Hermann.

Geez, that is a hard no for me. She's more of a religious zealot than a medical doctor if she believes that. Hopefully she doesn't still believe that nonsense when it comes to kids.

Your kid will get sick a bunch in their first 2 years, especially if in daycare or around other kids a lot. And just about everything they get will wreck them harder than Covid ever would. Covid shouldn't even be on your radar when it comes to kids...let them get the cold and build their immune system. It's not like that "vaccine" keeps you from getting it lol.

Dr. William C. Pielop with BlueFish has not steered us wrong. I will admit at times to being a bit like Dr. Cox on my level of alarmism so I've learned to hear "rub some dirt on it" from the doctor.
