Is there a full-service DHL counter in town? I need to generate a shipping label (Mexico to Houston) to import an art piece with insurance coverage.

The tienda in Mexico can ship DHL to Houston but not with insurance coverage (gift shop at museum, nice elderly lady works there - she can't figure out the insurance part). I tried the small DHL counter on TC Jester and his license with DHL only allows him to export from US, not import into US. DHL insurance will only be <$15 for full value of the art.

So is there a full-service DHL counter in Houston that can generate a shipping label from Mexico to Houston with insurance coverage? If not, I may have to risk it without insurance coverage.

Unfortunately already been down that path. All the choices either (1) won't answer the phone/have full inboxes or (2) only list the DHL 800-phone number.

I've tried the 800-phone and they couldn't help me (said ask local location). I've tried the online chat and they couldn't help me either. I 'could' drive to all these locations around town and ask in person (I tried with TC Jester location but they couldn't help), but hoping TexAgs can tell me which location would work.

nope, that sight won't work - I heard from a few people that the Claymoore St location was where to go. So I drove there. The clerk tried but even she couldn't make a shipping label with insurance. Apparently the label has to be generated in Mexico. However I'm not too worried, the woman at the museum gift shop sent me pictures of the packaging and that thing is packed so well that I don't think a raw egg would crack. Just super packaging of styrofoam and bubble wrap inside a thick cardboard box and all wrapped up in a wooden crate.

Can you describe or share a pic the art piece?

it's a large Nativity scene, multiple pieces. Black clay ceramic from Oaxaca. The artist is fairly well-known. She sells out regularly at the Santa Fe International Market, with prices much higher than what we're paying. Here's a bio:

I misread the title and thought this was going to be a thread about a full service DSL counter.
